Quick Guide: Two for One Protein Balls

I’ll be completely honest here.

 

I don’t really have a recipe or a method this time nor have I done these twice. There I was at home craving something but I didn’t know what. I just combined a couple of staple ingredients I had at hand, blended until desired consistency and that’s how these Protein Balls were born. But, oh gosh, you are delicious.

 

I remember the day I started I wasn’t too sure if I’m wanted like a chocolaty flavour or not. Thus, I made two different ones. As I’m typing this I’m recalling the steps of that day so I do apologise in advance if maybe quantity wise doesn’t add up. However, you know we’re after a bliss balls and by now it’s quite easy to reach that dough-consistency with a few tricks.

 

Let’s begin.

 

 

Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls

 

1/2 cup almond meal

2 heaped tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp cacao butter, melted  (if you don’t have you can use coconut oil)

1 tsp maca

2 tbsp vanilla protein powder ( I use Bareblends)

Cacao nibs as many as you want

pinch of Himalayan salt

*You could add a couple of teaspoons of rice malt syrup but see how you go for flavour. I find mine sweet enough with the protein.

 

Instructions

 

Blend or combine all the above ingredients together until a firm dough is reached.

 

Ingredients for Salted Caramel Chocolate Protein Balls

 

Use the same ingredients listed above and add 1 tbsp raw cacao powder.  As simple as that. If you don’t have almond meal, try using different blends like any seed meal. I hope you enjoy making this Protein ball the same way I enjoyed remember the steps.
