Don’t you love when you wake up knowing that your breakfast is ready? I do. It’s the best thing ever for me, specially when mornings can be bit hectic if you don’t have a ritual.
Recently I reintroduced oats again to my life and has been my lifesaver. Not that I don’t like rice flakes or buckwheat (which I have been using instead), but there’s something about oats that’s difficult to replace. In saying that, there’s been an upgrade to your traditional oats. Let me introduce proats to your life. Proteins oats, like the name suggests is oatmeal with added protein, which in most cases is whey protein. And as long as I stick to quarter of a cup or less I’m good to go.

1/4 cup organic rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp Bareblends Organic Vanilla Protein
1 tsp maca
Enough milk to cover it all up – I use coconut milk
In a jar, combine all the above ingredients, preferably overnight.
To serve, add coconut yoghurt, granola for the crunch factor and some fresh or frozen blueberries.
